Connecticut Legislative Alert: Assisted Suicide bill defeated

By Susan Smith, National Right to Life Connecticut Director

Thank you!

Pro-Lifers defeated House Bill 6425 Assisted Suicide.

The meeting in the House Judiciary Committee ended at approximately 3:40 yesterday and the bill was not taken up for discussion or vote.

According to the Connecticut Post, “Tuesday was the deadline for the General Assembly’s Judiciary Committee to act on the aid in dying legislation, but a ‘significant majority’ of the committee was ‘uncomfortable’ advancing the bill, said Rep. Steve Stafstrom, D-Bridgeport, the committee’s co-chair.”

2021 turned out to be a successful year for the Pro-Life movement in the great State of Connecticut. Every voice, email, etc., to our elected politicians opposing Assisted Suicide helped defeat this dangerous legislation.

We cannot just stop fighting on this issue. Our opposition is not going to go away and neither will we.

Thank you!
