Planned Parenthood speaks and the Biden Administration listens and obeys

By Dave Andrusko

Planned Parenthood speaks and (what a coincidence) the Biden/Harris policy agenda falls right into line. Here are a few samples from an interview PPFA President and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson gave to Business Insider.

According to Mary Margaret Olohan

“We should be pushing bold agenda items in the name of building back better,” McGill Johnson told Business Insider, borrowing President Joe Biden’s campaign slogan.

“We are engaging in the policy side, on the education side, on messaging, and personnel — all of the ways that we think can be good policy making but also support the use of the bully pulpit that the White House carries.”

Of course, one “bold” use of the “Bully Pulpit” is Executive Orders which pro-abortion President Joe Biden has issued in historic numbers.

Right on cue, President Biden reversed the Mexico City Policy the day before the January 29 Virtual March for Life, commemorating the 48th anniversary of the appalling Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions.

His action drew a strong response across the pro-life spectrum. Pro-life champion Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) accurately stated the reversal “forces U.S. taxpayers to fund organizations that promote, lobby for or perform abortion on demand in foreign countries.”

Smith said, “U.S. foreign policy—and the foreign entities we fund with billions of dollars in grant money—should consistently affirm, care for, and tangibly assist women and children—including unborn baby girls and boys.”

Rep. Smith, who authored a letter of protest signed by 136 Members of the House, added, “Americans overwhelmingly oppose using U.S. foreign aid to subsidize abortion,” and pointed to a new Marist Poll that found more than three in four Americans—77 percent—oppose using tax dollars to support abortions in other countries.”

And, of course, that same day, Biden started the ball rolling on turning Title X Family Planning money back into a font of cash for PPFA which refused to abide by the Trump administration’s requirements that they do not promote or encourage abortion.

“Personnel” side? The Biden administration is honeycombed with pro-abortion ideologues, starting with Xavier Becerra, Biden’s choice to be HHS Secretary, and, of course, pro-abortion Vice President Kamala Harris.

Of Harris, McGill Johnson told Business Insider’s Kimberly Leonard

“I’m completely over the moon and so excited to support her leadership and support their vision for how we transform healthcare, as well as sexual reproductive healthcare.”

Part of that “transformation” will be seriously bumping up the amount of Title X money Planned Parenthood can tap into.

Planned Parenthood wishes to see Roe v. Wade codified into law before the Supreme Court gets a chance to decide on the controversial ruling, Insider reported. …

Planned Parenthood is also hoping that the Biden administration will prioritize making medication abortion available during the coronavirus pandemic by ending restrictions on the abortion pills, McGill Johnson told Insider.

Of all the oceans of pro-abortion misnomers and misrepresentations, “Codifying Roe” may be the most dishonest.

Roe, as explicated in subsequent Supreme Court decisions, does not require abortion on demand; taxpayer funding of abortion; threats to states that wish to pass pro-life legislation; disregard for all safety requirements, to name such four components of the “codifying Roe” wish list.

Pro-lifers will be watching every legislative attempt to give Planned Parenthood and the entire Abortion Industry carte blanch license to kill unborn babies with abandon and with your tax dollars.
