Planning continues apace for the annual March for Life in Washington, DC. Next month, the annual gathering of pro-lifers from around the nation is scheduled for Friday, January 29, 2021.
Organizers are taking all precautions to ensure a safe and enthusiastic March.
March for Life announced today that Tim Tebow will be the featured speaker at the Rose Dinner which will take place virtually this year on January 29.
Readers of NRL News Today are very familiar with Tim, a genuine pro-life champion, who is a Heisman Trophy winning college quarterback, a football commentator, and—far more important—a humanitarian. In 2012 he established The Tim Tebow Foundation which “exists to bring Faith, Hope, and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.”
Last February he was the featured speaker at Kansans for Life’s annual Valentine’s Day Banquet. Nearly 1,200 people attended the event put on each year by National Right to Life’s state affiliate.
“It is such an honor to be here,” Tebow said as he thanked Archbishop Joseph Naumann, elected officials, and Mary Kay Culp, executive director of Kansans for Life, for their work on behalf of the unborn.
Tebow also thanked Lamar Hunt, Jr. one of the owners of Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, for “having courage in the face of a lot of other people who don’t have it and for your willingness to be up here and support this organization.”
“It really does mean a lot more than winning the Super Bowl,” Tebow said. He added, “One day, when you look back and people are talking about you and they say Oh, my gosh what are you going to be known for? Are you going to say Super Bowl, or we saved a lot of babies?”
Tebow is the author of three New York Times Best Selling books. They are “Through My Eyes,” named the #1 sports and religion book of 2011; “Discovering your True Identity in the Midst of Life’s Storms” released in 2016 which won the 2017 Evangelical Christian Publishers Association Book of the Year; and “This Is The Day,” released in 2018.
