December edition of National Right to Life News arrived today in your inbox

By Dave Andrusko

This morning the December digital edition of National Right to Life News arrived in your inbox. I hope you’ve already had a chance to take a quick first look and then, beginning later today, will dig into the monthly issue of the “Pro-Life Newspaper of record.”

With 51 pages at our disposal, we covered a great deal of territory in considerable depth. At the top of the list of “must-reads” is the page one story headlined, “Pro-Life Voters Mobilize to Stop Democrat Senate Takeover.”

The importance of the January 5th Senate runoffs in Georgia literally cannot be exaggerated. If both pro-life incumbents, Sen. Kelly Loeffler and Sen. David Perdue, were to lose to their pro-abortion Democrat challengers, there would be 50 Senate Democrats and 50 Senate Democrats. The Vice President, in their role of President of the Senate, would be the deciding vote.

We talk how the outcome will shape the politics of 2021 and beyond on pages 2, 6, 17, 19, and 31as well.

Also on page one, Jennifer Popik, JD, NRL’s Federal Legislative Director, offers a thorough but very readable summary of what took place in Congress during the 116th Congress. This is an overview you will to read carefully and hold onto.

Last week, we provided a first-draft look at the latest abortion figures from the CDC at NRL News Today, our Monday through Saturday pro-life news feed [www.nationalrighttolifenews.org]. Beginning on page 7, NRL Director of Education & Research, Dr. Randall K. O’Bannon, breaks down the figures in much more detail but in a manner that helps the reader grasp what a tremendous difference pro-life legislative,  political, and educational initiatives have made. To quote Dr. O’Bannon, “Looking at the big picture, if you compare the CDC abortion for 2008 to the CDC total for 2018, the number has dropped by nearly 25 percent in a just a decade.”

Laura Echevarria, NRL’s  Director of Communications and Press Secretary, relates a fascinating personal experience that graphically illustrated  “The Disconnect of Pro-Abortion Thinking.” Her story appears on page five. You’ll want to send her account through your social media outlets.

As always, this summary, appearing on the day the monthly edition of NRL News is posted, is just a first glance. Later this week, we’ll discuss the extraordinary success pro-lifers experience in the House of Representatives and in many statehouses. In addition, we have multiple stories about the saintly work of Pregnancy Help Centers, families that chose life over giving into predictions of fatal outcomes for their babies, and, of course, the blessing of adoption.

Please begin reading the December issue of National Right to Life News at your earliest convenience.
