Pa. Gov. shuts down businesses but not Planned Parenthood

By Maria V. Gallagher, Legislative Director, Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

When the Governor of Pennsylvania issued an order shutting down businesses throughout the Commonwealth because of the Corona virus crisis, Planned Parenthood was not included.

In fact, the nation’s largest abortion operation is not only doing business—it is trying to do a booming business.

When fear and anxiety in Pennsylvania and the rest of the nation are at an all-time high, the abortion giant is preying on vulnerable women with its slick sales pitch. Reports indicate women are being encouraged to visit Planned Parenthood facilities, even in the midst of a pandemic.

But rather than accepting defeat, pro-life advocates in Pennsylvania are reaching out to pregnant women, letting them know they are not alone. They are giving virtual hugs through electronic media, pledging support during this frightening time.

The government may not stop Planned Parenthood. But there is also no stopping the pro-life movement.

Through its creativity and fortitude, the pro-life movement is carrying on, energized by the power of its loving mission.

Lives will be saved and women will be spared the trauma of abortion, even during these tumultuous times.

Pro-lifers never shut their doors, or their hearts, to women in need. That is a truth we can rely on during this time of uncertainty.
