McKinley, Morrisey, and Warner also to address crowd
West Virginians for Life invites all to gather in the Trinity Assembly of God fellowship hall at 70 Maranatha Drive, Fairmont, WV, on Saturday, October 19, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for the 46th Annual West Virginians for Life Convention where the theme will be “LIFE is nourished at the roots.” Doors will open at 9:00.
Keynote speaker is Nicole Flynn, whose traumatic brain injury, from which she made recovery, is heart breaking yet inspiring and something everyone can relate to. National Right to Life Political Director Karen Cross will address the crowd as well as WVFL President Dr. Wanda Franz.
In addition, a sidewalk counseling presentation by Tranae Mathis and a presentation regarding the “Abortion is Still Legal in WV” billboards are among the offerings. Lynn Keener of WV Caring will talk about what to look for in a hospice.
During the noon luncheon, the crowd will hear briefly from First District Congressman David McKinley, Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, and Secretary of State Mac Warner, while other elected officials will also be introduced.
The Teen Day Camp is an added feature. Catering to teens, the day camp will provide time for games in addition to learning. Sadie Shields of Students for Life of America and Delegates Kayla Kessinger and Caleb Hanna will account for some of the teen offerings.
Attendees will again be treated to short but information-packed presentations with music and pro-life video clips interspersed. Random prize giveaways are also a fun part of the conference.
Lunch is included in the $35 cost. It’s $20 for college students and teens. Childcare is available, provided that request is known in advance.
This is a catered event, so call WVFL at 304-594-9845 by Wednesday, October 16, to make your attendance plans known. Payment can be made at the door only if WVFL knows in advance
