Annual NRL Convention Less than a month away!

By Dave Andrusko

It doesn’t seem possible. We are just 29 days out from the pro-life educational event of the year—the annual National Right to Life Convention—this year being held July 5-6 in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. (For information about the convention and registration, please go to www.nrlconvention.com.]

We are pleased to announced that Henry Dargan McMaster, the pro-life governor of South Carolina, will be the honored guest speaker at the Friday luncheon which will appropriately be titled, “A Time to be Encouraged.” South Carolina is among the leaders in passing pro-life legislation made possible by elected leaders such as Gov. McMaster. Here’s a sample of all he has accomplished in his career, including as the U.S. attorney for South Carolina, the state attorney general, and the lieutenant governor before becoming governor.

As the state attorney general, Mr. McMaster upheld the constitutionality of the Choose Life S.C. car tags when the department of motor vehicles asked for his opinion. The governor was central in the fight against “Obamacare,” organizing and leading the states in their challenge against the law’s unconstitutional federal encroachment. He has pledged to fight funding of abortion in South Carolina and to sign pro-life legislation that reaches his desk.

There are many other pro-lifers who will speak at one of 48 workshops in addition to general sessions, a luncheon, and the Saturday night closing banquet. To name just a few

ASHLEY BRATCHER

Ashley Bratcher stars as Abby Johnson in the highly anticipated film “Unplanned,” the true story of Johnson’s inspiring transformation from Planned Parenthood clinic director to pro-life activist. MELISSA COLES

Melissa Coles is the birth mother of the short documentary “I Lived on Parker Avenue” about a mother’s agony in choosing what’s best, the joy of a couple starting a family, and young man’s search for where his life began.
