More than once (actually , many times) I have shared how my mother unintentionally planted in my young mind a profound reverence for life. (I grew up long before Roe v. Wade so abortion per se was not an issue.)
However I have never shared—and will next month prior to Father’s Day—how my dad’s response to my teenage cousin’s unplanned pregnancy also shaped in the most profound way how I view our responsibility to mothers and their unborn children .
I’m asking our NRL News Today readers to take a few minutes out to compose a brief narrative about how your mother molded your reverence for life. It can be (as it was with me) indirect. Or it can be the lessons she directly taught you about the beauty of unborn life and/or our responsibility to help women and girls navigate the shoals of an unplanned pregnancy.
My email address is email@example.com. I hope to hear from you.
