Unfortunately, House Bill 2217 has been scheduled for a public hearing and work session on Thursday at 8:30 am in the Senate Judiciary Committee, Hearing Room C. This bill would expand the ways that the lethal medication in physician-assisted suicide can be taken.
HB 2217 has already passed the Oregon House. Another euthanasia bill (Senate Bill 579) is still active and may be scheduled for a vote of the full Senate soon.
It is critical that we stop these bills. If you can, please come to the hearing on Thursday. We’ll be meeting up outside the room (Hearing Room C on the main floor of the capitol building) before the hearing begins.
Please click this button to tell your senator to vote no on both bills.
