One dangerous bill still left: the ERA

VSHL President Olivia Gans Turner (center)

This is “crossover” week at the General Assembly when all the bills passed by one chamber will cross over to the other.

Most of the pro-abortion bills have been defeated in both the House and Senate already, but there is still one dangerous bill left.

Since the pro-abortion ERA was approved by the Senate, it is technically still possible to see it brought up again in the House, in spite of the earlier vote in a subcommittee of the House Committee on Privileges and Elections to “Pass By” the measure this year.

The pro-ERA team is going to use everything in the House rules to try to force a vote in the full House of Delegates before the end of the session. So we must stay alert!

Please don’t stop contacting your House Delegate and ask her or him to vote against any effort to change the rules or discharge the committee vote.

Thank you. You can find out more here.

The pro-abortion words and actions of Delegate Kathy Tran and Governor Ralph Northam last week have shocked many pro-life supporters into renewed determination to protect the babies. Please forward this email to your pro-life friends and family; encourage them to join us in Richmond on Thursday, and ask them to please sign the petition to stop the pro-abortion ERA.
