Large crowd expected for 2019 MCCL March for Life at State Capitol on Tuesday, Jan. 22

Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL) will hold the 2019 MCCL March for Life at the State Capitol Mall beginning at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 22. The purpose of the MCCL March for Life is to commemorate the more than 60 million unborn babies’ lives lost to abortion and to call for legislative efforts to protect innocent human life, including pregnant women and their unborn children.

MCCL will announce its 2019 legislative agenda at the event.

Pro-life lawmakers are expected to participate in the brief MCCL program that begins at 12:30 p.m. on the Capitol steps.

Jan. 22 marks the 46th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decisions Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, which made abortion legal for any reason nationwide. Minnesota has lost more than 638,000 lives to abortion since those 1973 court decisions, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

The MCCL March for Life is the largest annual event held at the Capitol, regularly attracting thousands of people.
