Your calls are still urgently needed to ask our Missouri State Senators to pass HCS SB 5!

Editor’s note. This alert comes from Missouri Right to Life, NRLC’s state affiliate.

Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens

Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens

Please read the proclamation issued by Governor Eric Greitens and sealed by Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft expanding the special session call to include all pro-Life protections being considered by the General Assembly in HCS SB 5.

If the Senate does not pass the House Committee substitute, then they will be stripping away pro-life protections passed by the House under Speaker Todd Richardson’s leadership and requested by Governor Greitens.

The strong pro-life protections of HCS SB 5 are necessary because of the activism of pro-abortion judges and abortion-supporting alderman in St. Louis who have chosen to put Missouri women’s health at risk and take away rights of people who do not want to participate in the horrendous act of killing a developing child in the womb… under the disguise of legal abortion.

The Missouri Senate is made up of a super majority of Republicans elected on the pro-life platform of the GOP party.

The questions are:

Will the Missouri Republican super-majority led senate pass the strong HCS SB 5 to protect women and babies?

Or, will they let 8 pro-abortion Democrat Senators, one 92-year- old pro-abortion Judge, and a handful of pro-abortion St. Louis Aldermen overrule and knock down the rich pro-life heritage of Missouri to be a pro-life state?

The super majority Republican led Senate has the power to overrule these pro-abortion forces. Will they?

If our Missouri Senators can call the previous question (PQ) to shut down the filibuster by liberal Democrats [over the issue of raising the minimum wage] as they did on the last day of the 2017 regular session, then they can call the PQ and shut down the pro-abortion Democrat filibuster of HCS SB 5!

Proclamation by Gov. Eric Greitens.

Read Governor Greitens’ expanded call to pass the strong language of HCS SB 5 and then step up calls to your Senators. If you have already called, call again!

Call every day until the Senate passes HCS SB 5!
