At 10:00 am this morning, the December digital edition of National Right to Life News became available to read and to download. I trust by the end of the day you will have begun to peruse the latest installment (going back to 1973!) of the ‘prolife newspaper of record’ and used your social networks to pass along this invaluable source of news.
As you would expect, there are multiple stories digging into all phases of our remarkable November 8 electoral successes. That begins on page one with “A National Referendum on Abortion” and “2016 Election Overview: NRLC triumphant against radical pro-abortion movement.”
NRLC President Carol Tobias uses her page three column to talk about “Unborn children and Infinite Possibilities.”
NRLC Director of Education Randall K. O’Bannon breaks down in extensive detail the latest report from the CDC that showed a 5% reduction in abortions and a lower abortion rate and abortion ratio. Great news.
One of my favorites appears on page 17, “Merging ultrasound and MRI researchers shows unborn babies in 3-D Virtual Reality.” What a group of Brazilian researchers at Rio’s Clínica de Diagnóstico Por Images have done to show parents their unborn child in a remarkably intimate way is nothing short of astonishing.
On page 18, we explore how a “Baby could have been aborted, but fetal surgery corrects rare heart condition.” We almost tend to take fetal surgery for granted, but this was a first. Three years ago surgeons opened up Katie Rice’s uterus, removed a fast-growing tumor that was pressing on her 24- week unborn baby’s heart, and then sewed her up. A few anxious months later, Tucker Rice was born. He is now healthy and happy little boy.
And on and on. We will write more later this week about the December digital edition of NRL News. Be sure to start reading and passing along stories you particularly like or the entire issue.
