What a wonderful day Tuesday was. We were frantically (but joyfully) trying to tie up loose ends on the 40-page April digital edition of National Right to Life News, keep you updated with the latest on National Right to Life News Today, and cover the historic passage of Kansas’ Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Abortion Act. Needless to say (although I will say it anyway), we will have much more to offer about the bill’s passage and what appears to Oklahoma’s determination to be the second state in the nation to pass the measure (called SB95 in Kansas).
Here are a few words about the April NRL News.
#1. As always, we’re reprinting a new story from the edition each day this week and perhaps the early part of next week. We start with the always thoughtful President’s column, written by Carol Tobias. This story and all the stories can be accessed at www.nrlc.org/uploads/NRLNews/NRLNewsApril2015.pdf.
#2. We rely exclusively on you to pass along individual stories–or the entire edition–using your social media contacts. When people are particularly aggressive about this outreach, it shows up in a noticeable increase in readership for NRL News Today, our Monday through Saturday educational feature which you can access at nationalrighttolifenews.org. And
#3. Simply put the April NRL News is a goldmine of information. We begin on page one by highlighting the two most significant priorities for NRLC: the aforementioned Unborn Child Protection from Dismemberment Abortion Act and the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which West Virginia enacted by overriding its governor’s veto.
It is no exaggeration to say there is every type of story, from state legislation, to an interview with a guest speaker for the upcoming NRLC national convention in New Orleans, to a survey that demonstrated just how pro-life Millennials are, to excellent analyses of one facet of ObamaCare and the millions of governmental dollars funneled to (who else?) Planned Parenthood–and that’s just for starters.
Please take time each day to read a story from NRL News at www.nrlc.org/uploads/NRLNews/NRLNewsApril2015.pdf and pass them along to your pro-life contacts.
It’s a great issue!
