Crystal Lynn Noordhuizen is seven months pregnant. She told police Monday that she got into a fight with her boyfriend, Justin Lee Colby, and left the house to avoid a further escalation.

According to an arrest report obtained by the Tampa Bay Times, Noordhuizen said Colby then called her and asked, “Are you ready for your abortion date?” What followed was stunning.

According to the Times reported, Colby, 33,

was driving east on Westwood Drive near U.S. 19 about 1 p.m. Monday when, according to authorities, he veered off the road and hit Crystal Lynn Noordhuizen, who is seven months pregnant.

Noordhuizen was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point. Fortunately neither she nor her baby were seriously hurt.

Colby faces charges on two counts of attempted murder.

The Times reports that in the arrest report, a deputy reviewed surveillance footage that showed Colby striking Noordhuizen with a 2006 Dodge Charger.

He crashed into a pole, got out of the car but did not help Noordhuizen.

Instead, Colby walked to his home on the same road and fled on a white motorcycle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office announced about midnight that Colby had been arrested

Pasco County jail records show Colby has been arrested several times. The charges include aggravated assault and lewd and lascivious battery.

Using his car as a weapon is not a first for Colby, In 2012 he got into a fight with his brother, Daniel, and was subsequently charged with running over Daniel.

“The force of the crash sent Daniel flying and broke his knee,” the Times reported. “Justin told investigators that his brother had run towards the car and that he did not hit Daniel on purpose. He was charged then with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.”
