The December digital edition of National Right to Life News—35 pages of news stories, columns, editorials, and human interest features—is now online at www.nrlc.org/uploads/NRLNews/
As we have done since January, when NRL News switched from a printed newspaper, we will feature one story a day from the issue over the next week just to give you a taste of what’s in the “pro-life newspaper of record.” We start with the inspirational column written by Carol Tobias, NRLC President, “2015: Ready for the Challenge.”
My strong suspicion is that readers will enjoy the particular blend of stories, those that are new and those drawn mostly from last week’s edition of National Right to Life News Today, our daily news feed that we’ve chosen. (By the way, if you are not receiving NRL News Today in your email inbox, take a minute out and sign up at www.nrlc.org/mailinglist.)
Grassroots pro-lifers who have participated at the local level in one of NRLC’s more than 3,000 state and local chapters or who are considering joining in will especially enjoy the interview with Jacki Ragan. Jacki, who wears many hats for NRLC, was talking to me in her capacity as director of the State Organizational and Development Department.
Since our work is powered by the involvement of volunteers, we will never receive the kind of media attention showered on others, especially the likes of EMILY’s List and Planned Parenthood’s political arm. But that’s fine: we’ll settle for yet another victory in the U.S. Senate—in Louisiana in a run-off on Saturday—meaning a net gain of nine.
Do begin today to read the December issue. And—very important to us and to our cause—be sure to pass along selected stories (if not the entire issue) to your social network contacts. That is how the message of hope and love will spread.
