Nebraska Walk for Life draws huge crowd

The 40th annual Nebraska Walk for Life drew 4,500 pro-lifers to the State Capitol in Lincoln on January 25th.

After brief remarks from state and federal elected officials, organizers released hundreds of pink and blue balloons in memory of the over 56 million unborn babies aborted in the U.S. since 1973. In Nebraska the number of abortions is 180,137.

Pink and blue fleece armbands were passed to the many children in the crowd and a new sticker branding the event “Nebraska Walk for Life” were given to all attendees. After an 8 block walk to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln Student Union about 900 people fit inside the venue to hear the keynote speech: Don’t Mess with Texas!

Keynoter Emily Horne, Legislative Associate with Texas Right to Life, spoke of Texas’ legislative victories in de-funding the abortion industry, closing abortion facilities, and beating back the pro-abortion lobby at the Texas State Capitol last summer.
