What’s Airing on Pro-Life Perspective Today?: “Do You Know Your National Right to Life?”

By Dave Andrusko

NRLC President Carol Tobias

National Right to Life President and Pro-Life Perspective Host Carol Tobias begins the concluding episode of this week’s PLP with a statement and a question:

“I’m proud to be part of this wonderful organization. When I think of everything accomplished by National Right to Life, its state affiliates, chapters, and grassroots volunteers, I’m amazed. How much do you really know about the wonderful organization that you are a part of?”

And the remainder of today’s five-minute broadcast (which can be heard at www.prolifeperspective.com) is detailing all that NRLC does, beginning with the fact that NRLC is the only single-issue pro-life organization with an affiliate in every state. Having more than 3,000 chapters of grassroots volunteers means that an enormous amount of work takes place within local communities—educating, lobbying state and federal governments on behalf of pro-life policies, and conducting political activities to elect pro-life men and women to office.

Mrs. Tobias notes that journalists and other interested persons go to the NRLC website for factual, detailed information about pro-life legislation and pro-life ratings of congressmen and –women (www.nrlc.org). “We are,” she notes. “the ‘gold standard’ when it comes to pro-life legislation and monitoring the voting records of members of Congress.”

You will want to listen to today’s broadcast, where Mrs. Tobias outlines the departments at NRLC, and then pass along the link to your friends through your social networks. To name just a few, everything from the crucially important State and Federal Legislative Departments, through NRLC’s Outreach Department, the Education Department, the Robert Powell Center for Medical Ethics, and what you are reading right now—National Right to Life News Today—the sister publication to National Right to Life News.

Mrs. Tobias summarizes the enormous breadth and depth of National Right to Life’s work  in her concluding thought:

“We are a one-stop shop for pro-lifers looking to educate their communities, pass life-affirming legislation, and elect pro-life men and women to public office. Because of the time, talent, energy, and resources you put into the pro-life movement, working alongside the absolutely fantastic staff of NRLC, we have accomplished much, but the best is yet to come!”
