A quick update on polling data, sure to change. Even though Republicans are fiercely competing for the party’s presidential nomination, according to Gallup, pro-abortion President Barack Obama is only slightly ahead of former Senator Rick Santorum (49% to 48%) and trails former Gov. Mitt Romney by four points (46% to 50%).
In Arizona, Romney is comfortably ahead. In Michigan the latest Detroit Free Press-WXYZ-TV poll found Santorum retaining his narrow lead: Santorum leads 37% to 34%.
The contest remains “volatile,” according to the Free Press, with 45% of the 400 likely Republican primary saying “they would consider changing their minds about who to vote for before Tuesday, and 12% of respondents said they were still undecided who to vote for on Tuesday.”
