What’s Airing on Pro-Life Perspective Today? “Educating on Unborn Pain”

By Dave Andrusko

NRLC President Carol Tobias

This week is a five-part primer on one of the most promising legislative initiatives of the past few years: the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. Leading this Monday-Friday cram course is National Right to Life President and Pro-Life Perspective Host Carol Tobias.

Five states have already passed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, based on a model provided by the National Right to Life Department of State Legislation.

“We’ve always known that abortion hurts women and kills children, but the headlines now are focusing more and more on the fact that abortion hurts babies,” explains Mrs. Tobias.  “The media is actively talking about the development and pain of these little children, and we’re going to keep that conversation going.”

Our job—yours, your local and state affiliates, and NRLC—is to spread that message far and wide. To that end NRLC’s State Organizational Development Department has spent the past several months developing resources, compiling information, and making it as easy as possible for you to educate yourself and others.

One of the key resources, as Mrs. Tobias explained on Monday, is a petition available at www.prolife perspective.com. You can download it, print as many copies as you please, and  pass them along to your friends, co-workers, church congregations, family members, and neighbors.

Just one other resource mentioned by Mrs. Tobias this week: NRLC’s thoroughly researched and cited  brochure on unborn pain. Once you’ve read it, you will want to place an order or download the petition for distribution at a local fair booth, your local chapter, your church, or just to have on hand to pass out to friends and neighbors.

Tomorrow, more on the truth that unborn children CAN feel pain–the focus of the right-to-life movement in the coming months.
