When we first alerted the pro-life world to National Right to Life’s new comparison piece, I mentioned that most people don’t tune into politics until relatively close to the election. And certainly many won’t until sometime next year.
But it is no less true that because the presidential stakes are so high in 2012 and because there have been so many debates among the pro-life Republican candidates, more people are getting involved earlier. To help educate, we’ve updated our comparison piece found at http://stoptheabortionagenda.com/2011/07/22/candidate-comparison.
You will also find this very important tool in Spanish at http://www.stoptheabortionagenda.com/files/12511-potus-comparison-spanish.pdf.
We know that President Barack Obama is joined at the hip to the Abortion Establishment, wedded to promoting abortion in every way he can, including most specifically ObamaCare. But what of the Republican candidates?
With Herman Cain having suspended his campaign, you will find at “Where do the candidates stand on life” eight candidates: pro-abortion President Obama along with (in alphabetical order) Rep. Michele Bachmann, former Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Governor John Huntsman, Rep. Ron Paul, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Gov. Mitt Romney, and former Senator Rick Santorum, all pro-life.
The comparison–based on public statements, statements from the campaigns, and/or statements appearing on websites–addresses the positions of the nine candidates on four issues: Taxpayer funding for abortion; Roe v. Wade/abortion; Funding for Abortion Providers; and ObamaCare.
