Okay, I’m a softy, but I’m guessing you are too. Especially when the subject is kids, and MOST especially when what you are seeing is an example of a big brother proudly boasting about his little sister.
I was referred to “Just the Way You Are” by a FACEBOOK friend. You can find this inspirational YouTube video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=9b7y9UYt_fM.
Matty is the brother who dedicates this video to his four-year-old sister, Sarah Grace, who “was born with special needs”—Down syndrome. Now PG- rated rap may not be your cup of tea, but take 3:24 of your life to hear Matty cover a song by Bruno Mars titled, “Just the Way You Are.”
Much of the time we see Sarah Grace as Matty sings his song of appreciation and admiration. The lyrics are delightfully appropriate, especially
So don’t even bother asking
If you look okay
You know I say
When I see your face
There’s not a thing that I would change
Cause you’re amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile,
The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Cause girl you’re amazing
Just the way you are
Way to go, Matty.
