Every baby “deserves better than Hillary Clinton’s America”
By Dave Andrusko
This is the last post of the day and it will be brief.
Writing at the Huffington Post, the caption for Allison Schneider is “OB/GYN Resident Physician.”
A noble profession, to be sure, although it is not until a third of the way into “As An Ob-Gyn, I Know Women Deserve Better Than Trump’s America” are we told that Schneider is a “future abortion provider.”
“As an Obstetrics and Gynecology intern working 80 hours a week in the hospital,” she writes, “it’s easy to shut out news I don’t want to hear and put the rest of the world on pause. I can’t do that. We can’t do that.”
I recall having the exact same feeling eight years ago when every reporter’s favorite abortion hero, Barack Obama, replaced pro-life President George W. Bush. I would have experienced the same numbness–only worse–if Hillary Clinton, not Donald Trump, was about to be inaugurated the 45th President. That would have been catastrophic news and set back the cause of life for perhaps a generation.
Schneider is free to free associate her worst nightmares and project them onto President-elect Trump. We take an wholly opposite view, because saving unborn children, not taking their lives, is what we do for a living.
For example, she cites Ohio’s Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (without, of course, studiously avoiding mentioning its title) that Gov. John Kasich recently signed into law as a kind of harbinger of future disasters.
Imagine that. Instead of just 16 states, you might have twice that number saying you can’t slaughter an unborn child when she has reached the developmental stage where she has the capacity to experience unimaginable amounts of pain as she is being torn to pieces.
Isn’t it just awful?
I said this will be brief so let me end with Schneider’s tone-deaf conclusion:
Every baby I deliver reminds me of who we’re fighting for. This is their future. They deserve better than Trump’s America, and so do we.
To which we respond, we are fighting for every baby you won’t deliver, the ones whose corpses you will discard like refuse.
And that is why we laud the defeat of Mrs. Clinton and celebrate the election of Mr. Trump–because every baby “deserves better than Clinton’s America.”
