Vote for Mother’s Refuge

Vote for Mother’s Refuge!

Editor’s note. The following was forwarded to me by Missouri Right to Life which is working to assist “Mother’s Refuge” as explained below.

On October 8, the pro-life maternity home Mother’s Refuge in Independence, Missouri, was destroyed by a fire. You can read more about it here: “Independence shelter for homeless, pregnant teens works to rebuild after fire.” They have moved to a temporary location, but they still need your help.

Currently, Mother’s Refuge is one of 15 Christian ministries featured on the National Christian Foundation’s Passion Awards Facebook page.  The ministry that receives the most “likes” or votes will win a $10,000 grant.

If you have a Facebook account, won’t you please go online and cast a for Mother’s Refuge today?  Visit www.facebook.com/passionawards or click www.facebook.com/PassionAwards/app_300028376735671 to go directly to the voting page.

You will first be asked to “like” Passion Awards before you are allowed to vote. Then, in the voting gallery, look for the video that has several young moms sitting around a dinner table. You may then watch the short video or just click, “vote for this.”

Right now they are tied for 4th place, needing about 400 votes in order to move up to first.  Voting ends at midnight on October 31.

After the fire, Mother’s Refuge could really use this $10,000 award. If you have questions, call them at 816-353-8070, or contact executive director Robert Zornes at Robert@MothersRefuge.org.

Thank you for helping to reopen this home so teenage moms and their babies can have a place to live! — Missouri Right to Life
