The Awesome power of Twitter to knit pro-lifers together
By Dave Andrusko
I never fail to be surprised by the awesome power of Twitter. And, if I ever doubted its capacity to geometrically expand the reach of National Right to Life News Today, those doubts were erased today.
As you recall, last week I asked you to pitch in so that NRL News Today could be read by many thousands more pro-lifers. One of the suggestions was to add a link to a particular story and send it out using your Twitter account.
That’s exactly what columnist/author/tweeter extraordinaire Michelle Malkin did today with my story about 24-year-old Tony Reaves, a mother of one, who died Friday night after undergoing a second-trimester abortion at a Chicago Planned Parenthood clinic. (If you missed it, you can read the story at www.nationalrighttolifenews.org/news/2012/07/young-woman-dies-after-abortion-at-chicago-planned-parenthood.)
There were so many “hits” we could barely keep the link functional. That’s the kind of “problem” I would love to have every day!
Obviously, the positive impact of a very prominent columnist is welcomed every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
But it’s the contributions of thousands of pro-lifers readers using their personal Twitter accounts that will make or break this campaign to offer a tremendous source of pro-life education to a much broader audience.
(BTW: you can also post your favorite stories through Facebook along with a personal comment on the story. If you have a Pinterest account, by all means pin the stories that interest you.)
Thanks so much, and do let me know that you are helping NRL News Today out by dropping me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
