Another Pro-Life Special Election Victory
By Karen Cross, National Right to Life Political Director
Congratulations to Massachusetts Citizens for Life for a pro-life win in yesterday’s special election! Republican Keiko Orrall, who was backed by the MCFL State PAC, won the special election for state Representative, defeating Roger Brunelle with 54% of the vote. The seat had been held by Democrats for over 30 years and Brunelle had strong union backing.
The effort of MCFL State PAC no doubt played a major role in Orrall’s victory. The difference was fewer than 300 votes!
“Overall Orrall won 2,135 votes to Brunelle’s 1,761, according to unofficial returns,” State House News Service reported. “Sen. Scott Brown endorsed her candidacy during the campaign.”
Keiko will be another State House vote to protect life.
