National Right to Life
Educational Trust Fund Encourages
the Expansion of Corporate Campaign Giving Opportunities
By Marie Rivers
The National Right to Life
Educational Trust Fund’s pro-life efforts have benefited from the
generous donations of federal (through the Combined Federal
Campaign) and state employee campaigns over the years. There is
another workplace opportunity growing in the United States for
private sector employees. Many companies, especially large
corporations, now conduct their own employee giving campaigns. And
to encourage giving, companies will often match an employee’s gift.
Whereas once the United Way
was the exclusive vehicle for private sector donations, the
emergence of corporate campaigns is on an upward trend. The United
Way still plays a part and, in fact, sometimes coordinates a
corporate campaign. Corporate campaigns offer employees a convenient
payroll deduction opportunity to help their favorite charities
simply by selecting them from a campaign list or writing in that
charity’s name.
Last year, the National
Right to Life Educational Trust Fund saw proceeds from employees of
companies such as Aetna, Ameriprise, AT&T, IBM, Microsoft, Morgan
Stanley, and Wells Fargo. If your employer holds a workplace giving
campaign, contact the human resources director to find out if the
National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund is on its list or, if
not, you can write it in. If a tax identification number is
required, NRL Educational Trust Fund’s is 52-1241126.
Thank you to all who have
contributed to the National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund!
Your continued support to help educate communities and protect the
innocent and vulnerable persons is greatly appreciated. For further
